Who We Are and What We Do

Piece of Cake Party is a relatively new division of our parent company, Royal Ribbons, Inc. In 1999, Sharon Smith, a designer and entrepreneur, acquired the parent company in Seattle, Washington. Since that time, the company has expanded to include our retail company, Piece of Cake Party, our wholesale company, Making Believe and our international company, Making Believe Asia Ltd. Our headquarters and showroom are now located in North Salt Lake, Utah.

Since Piece of Cake Party began doing business in November of 2005, we have received an abundance of media coverage in our local market. What makes us special?

1. We design, manufacture and import products from around the world. Most of our products are custom designed and found exclusively at Piece of Cake Party (or one of our sister companies, dealers or distributors).
2. Our specialty is value-priced costumes for theme parties. Sure, there are lots of paper and plastic products already on the market. But we offer textile products that coordinate with every theme. Party costumes are designed to be worn over street clothing. We have something for everyone - and every budget.
3. And most importantly, we offer a unique service. Our party consultants not only "wow" party guests in a sweet costume from head to toe, they provide interactive games and entertainment. This allows parents to sit back, relax, take pictures and enjoy the party.

On a global level, we inspect our factories regularly for compliance with labor laws and working conditions. We require our factories to comply with strict regulations. Also, we closely follow social and political issues that influence our global economy.
